The Batey Relief Alliance’s Medical Center is a one-of-a-kind international health care facility located in the Dominican Republic, dedicated to improving the lives of poor and vulnerable children living inside sugarcane plantations communities known as Bateyes, by providing Pediatric and Child Health Care and HIV/AIDS treatment and antiretroviral therapy.

Children up to the age of 18 infected and/or affected by HIV and AIDS, with severe malnutrition, or with other preventable medical conditions are eligible for admission and receive all care in a family and culturally-centered environment at no or affordable financial obligation to patients or families.

The children and their families in the bateyes are severely affected by poverty, disease and hunger and cannot afford basic medical care.

The Batey Relief Alliance partners with prominent international institutions and is equipped with a professionally-proven staff to respond to the health needs of the children and their families each day they visit our center.
